Jerome Brown Sr

Senior Pastor

JL Brown, Sr. is the second-generation Senior Pastor, and CEO of Brown Temple Church of God In Christ, a church community headquartered in Union City, California. With more than 23 years in active ministry and speaking to thousands from the West to the East coast. Pastor Brown, Sr. is a passionate and thoughtful leader, bridging cultural divides in the diverse city of Union City. He has inspired people of all genres and backgrounds through challenging stages of life as he encourages with love, kindness, and purpose.

Pastor Brown served as Union City's first Certified Fire Chaplain from 2005-2010. In 2010 Union City’s Fire Department joined Alameda County Fire Department and he continues to serve as a Certified Fire Chaplain. As a native of Union City, JL Brown Sr., has lived 52 years in this great city and is the father of 5 beloved children and 15 grandchildren.

Jerome Brown Jr

Vice President, Board Member

Jerome Brown Jr. is a California State Registered EMT-B, Wildland Firefighter, and Security Professional proudly serving the Bay Area. Jerome Jr. has over 14 years as a first responder with high integrity and the ability to think under immense pressure critically. This includes leading the engagement and employee development initiatives in the team of First Responders.

As an Event Security Coordinator, Assistant Account manager working in Operations, Business Development, and Senior Management, Jerome Jr. has provided strategic advice, and direction and supported vital business initiatives.

Jerome Jr is a native of Union City, California, with over 20 years as a church member. Currently serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors at Brown Temple Community Church, he has a passion for coaching, educating, and building lasting relationships that bring value to each individual's professional and personal achievement.

Jerome is married to his beautiful wife Laura and has two amazing daughters Jaylah and Zoe who enjoy traveling together and experiencing various cultures and their cuisines.

Alesia M. Williams-Moody

Secretary

Alesia provides financial administrative support and is currently the Treasurer for the board of Brown Temple C.O.G.I.C. Community Church. Alesia is the granddaughter of the late founder/pastor David Joe Brown, Sr. Alesia has been employed with PriMed Management for 24 ½ years as an Applications Analyst II and has been employed in the Healthcare Insurance industry for over 35 years. Alesia is married to Anthony Moody and they have 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

Thelma Brown Clementin

Treasurer, Board Member

Thelma Brown Clementin is currently serving as Treasurer for Brown Temple COGIC. I am the youngest daughter of the late founders David Joe and Queen Ester Brown. I'm Aquarius and my husband and I share 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I retired from the United States Post Office as a Letter Carrier in 2015 with 38 years of service and am currently working a very, very part-time job(5/6 days monthly) at a theatre. Since retiring I have picked up the hobby of shopping. I'm obsessed with finding a great bargain. One of Jesus's many miracles is turning water into wine. He has blessed me to be able to take $1 and spend it like it's $5 and the ability to hold on to it and make it count! "Money is good for nothing unless you know the value of it by experience. "

Gerald Brown Sr

Board Member

Gerald L. Brown, Sr. is the Fifth sibling of David & Queen Brown. As a Member and former Board of Trustee Vice President of Brown Temple Church, Gerald provides Bible study lessons as a teacher of God's word.

Gerald has worked for the United States Postal Service for 32 years and has been a part of Brown Temple Community Church since 1976. As a retired United States Post Office worker, Gerald has given his complete service to Brown Temple
